Researching Policing

July 25, 2017 @ 10:00 am – 4:15 pm
Room 2.21, Research Beehive, Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne

The N8 PRP Training and Learning and Co-Production strands are jointly convening a one-day workshop showcasing the research on/for/about/by policing being supported by the N8 PRP small grants programme.

The Small Grants Awards pump-prime research into targeted and important areas of policing work where the gaps in knowledge are most prominent and where research benefits are of greatest value, providing the necessary flexibility to move swiftly to respond to emergent areas of policing, new challenges and pressing concerns. This joint event showcases two completed Round 1 research projects in the morning and introduces five new research projects which were awarded funding in spring 2017 (Round 2) in the afternoon.
