N8 PRP Showcase Conference – new dates announced

We are pleased to announce that a new date has now been confirmed for the postponed N8 PRP Showcase Conference ‘The future of research-informed policing’.

Originally planned for 16/17 June 2020, the conference will now take place on 23/24 November 2020, at Weetwood Hall, Leeds.

We are delighted that many of the original speakers have agreed to the rescheduled timing. We are planning for a face-to-face conference, but will also be exploring ways of making this available remotely to those who are unable to attend in person.

Details of the conference, including workshops and keynote speakers, will be revealed over the next few months, and a registration page will be going live on the website in the near future.

The event will mark the end of the 5 year Catalyst Grant that has supported the work of the partnership and the beginning of the next phase of the N8 PRP. Attendees will have the chance to examine contemporary policing challenges, whilst also exploring what policing in a post-COVID world could look like.

The conference organisers will keep the COVID-19 situation under constant review. Any regulations on social distancing will be factored into the planning, and we will explore ways of making the conference as accessible as possible.
